I Diagrammi di Carroll sono tabelle che visualizzano i dati suddivisi in categorie del tipo “sì / no” oppure “vero / falso”. Essi hanno questo nome in onore di Lewis Carroll, pseudonimo di Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, autore di Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie. Carroll oltre ad essere un fantasioso scrittore era un matematico specializzato in logica simbolica.

Vi proponiamo una serie di Diagrammi di Carroll interattivi rivolti a bambini della primaria ma anche ad alunni della prima media.

Abbiamo scelto Brett Dennen, un cantautore con una voce particolare, sotto i testi dei due brani.

Grooveshark è tornato online!

Nel 2009 era stato acquisito dalla Telecom, ma adesso è ricomparso libero e gratuito.

Ripropongo quindi l’articolo scritto l’anno scorso.

Recentemente l’ottimo servizio di social music Last.fm ha cambiato la sua politica. Un laconico messaggio dice che: “Il periodo di prova è scaduto. Abbonati per continuare ad ascoltare un servizio radio personalizzato senza interruzioni!”

Un vero peccato perché abbiamo molto apprezzato Last.fm e la possibilità di ascoltare la nostra musica preferita o di conoscerne altra simile ai nostri gusti.

Andando ad indagare abbiamo letto che Last.fm continua ad offrire gratuitamente gli ascolti solo a chi si connette dagli U.S.A., dal Regno Unito e dalla Germania. Il resto del mondo deve sborsare 3 € al mese ! Certo sono pochi, ma per quale motivo abbonarsi se in rete possiamo trovare l’alternativa gratuita?

La nostra ricerca non è durata a lungo, tra le varie offerte simili abbiamo scelto questa: Grooveshark.

Grooveshark è nato solo da un anno, fondato e gestito da un gruppetto di giovanissimi di Gainesville, Florida. La sua crescita è stata rapidissima e ora il suo catalogo conta moltissimi titoli, tutti ascoltabili per intero e senza interruzioni pubblicitarie. Inoltre, proprio come Last.fm, è possibile condividere le proprie preferenze musicali con gli amici, si tratta quindi di una vera e propria music social network.

La musica si ascolta direttamente dal browser, noi abbiamo provato Firefox (il migliore) e Internet Explorer; i brani possono essere accodati in una playlist che possiamo salvare o condividere sia inviandola direttamente agli amici o tramite un widget da aggiungere al proprio sito.

In conclusione penso proprio che non rimpiangeremo a lungo il buon Last.fm.
